| Whats in a name.... Many of you have asked how I came up with the name Perilight. It all started after Jonathan and I got married in 1999. We wanted to make a unique email address that we could hopefully keep for years to come. We both sat down and came up with one word that reminded us of our wedding day. I came up with Periwinkle (the color of the girls dresses) and Jon chose Sunlight (we had huge windows in the church and he remembers all the sun pouring in as I walked down the isle). So we split the two words in half and got PERILIGHT! Too fun! Day to day.... Currently I work at home to take care of my three children, Madison, Isaac & Elliot. I love staying home full time with my children but every now and then I want a way to explore my creative side. Before I stayed home, I worked in Architecture and loved working in Photoshop! After Isaac was born I started doing fun stuff in Photoshop with the kids pictures and it eventually turned into a fun job for me part time. It was a great way to blend my two loves! I love that I can just put the kids down for a nap and work on something creative! It's especially fun when I get to work with new moms designing announcements for their new little blessings! What a gift from God! In my world.... Just the other day I walked downstairs to find my little ones looking at my computer screen. The screensaver was on and pictures of the two of them kept popping up. Every time they saw images of themselves on the screen they would explode into laughter! Those are special times I will always cherish and I get to enjoy these moments because I stay at home. Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. |
